Greetings Preschool Parents and Guardians,

As we find ourselves in this unprecedented COVID-19 crisis, I would like to share with you our plan to provide uninterrupted instruction for our Preschool students.  Moving forward, your child will be receiving daily remote lessons and other learning activities from their child’s classroom teacher to keep the children engaged in meaningful instruction while school is closed.

As you heard me say at Back-to-School Night, parents and guardians are the first and primary educators of their children.  Therefore, we as educational partners  can provide our children with the strong foundational skills they need to be successful.

Know it is not easy to balance all of your commitments while taking the time to home school your children.  I commend and applaud you for rolling-up your sleeves to assist in educating our Preschoolers.

Please be assured, we are here to support you during this pandemic.  We kindly ask that you stay connected with your child’s classroom teacher, our school social workers, our school nurse, our speech therapist, the Vice-Principal or myself should you need any assistance or resources during this crisis.  We will do our very best to address your needs and concerns.  You can always contact us through school email.

Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s classroom teacher with any questions regarding the remote-learning assignments.  Remember to check the district and school websites for updated information regarding COVID-19.  Please follow the recommended guidelines and precautions to remain healthy and safe.

I have attached a link of a short story in multiple languages explaining the Coronavirus to young children which was provided to us by the NJ Department of Education: Division of Early Childhood Education should you wish to share it with your children.  I am also providing you with a fun and educational learning activity video that you can do outside with your children and ask that you please read, sing and play with your children daily.

I know this is a very difficult situation, but I am confident that working together, we can support our Preschoolers through remote learning and meet the challenges of this pandemic.

Thank you for your cooperation and collaboration.  STAY SAFE!
